Senior Financial Analyst
Description
The Senior Financial Analyst position helps lead the team responsible for the delivery of accurate, high quality financial information to team members, managers and eMoney Senior Team. This role is a high-impact individual contributor role that acts as a main point of contact for the organization’s financial team and is responsible for data modeling, financial analysis, and executive communication support. The Analyst forms relationships with all levels across the organization to support shared analysis and best practices.
Job Responsibilities
- Provide Business Partner Support for all functional areas within eMoney Advisor.
- Leads the creation of multiple action-oriented profitability and statistical views supporting the financial success of eMoney Advisor.
- Works closely with department leadership to develop and coordinate the annual planning process, rolling forecasts and contingency plans, formulate and administer approved budgetary guidelines: may coordinate the preparation of periodic forecast review presentations.
- Responsible for production of monthly financial package and all supporting analyses for distribution to senior team, including supplemental financial and operating metrics
- Lead financial oversight for expenses such as compensation plans and operational costs.
- Evaluate operational/financial systems or procedures: develop and recommend new/revised methods for process and automation improvements and implements solutions
- Make recommendations for departmental process improvements and implement solutions that will result in more efficient collection, analysis, and reporting of information creating more capacity for strategic analysis and decision support
- Develop and deliver presentations and recommendations for eMoney Senior Team to inform business management and guide effective decision-making. Participate in making business decisions based on financial forecasts and models.
- Partner with Sales and HR to interpret commission plans, model outcomes, and/or operationalize plan changes.
- Independently own monthly and quarterly sales commission calculations and payouts, ensuring accuracy and policy compliance.
- Provide insightful analytical support for ad hoc analyses and requests from senior management and eMoney colleagues as related to critical business issues and initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance/Accounting or equivalent experience required
- 6+ years of experience in Finance, preferably within a medium-sized, high growth company
- Experience supporting a Saas organization and/or Financial services industry experience strongly preferred
Skills
- Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of financial analysis, accounting and reporting practices, tools, and procedures
- Strong PC skills, especially Excel, Power Point. Working knowledge of relational database structures, a plus.
- Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills are required, as is an ability to make independent decisions and manage projects.
- Ability to work well independently, as well as across the organization, while demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to interpret data and articulate “how” and “why” fits in the company’s overall financial story
- Ability to envision the “big picture” while focusing on multiple objectives or assignments.
