Aviation Maintenance Estimator
Description
General Summary:
The Maintenance Estimator is responsible for maintaining the maintenance quotation database and providing Maintenance Technical Support to the sales team. They collaborate with the sales team, operations, and vendors to produce detailed and accurate proposals that align with corporate financial goals and meet customer timeframe requirements.
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide consistent and accurate quote specifications and pricing to support the Sales team.
- Maintain and update maintenance quote templates and CRM system information.
- Provide maintenance technical support to the Sales team as needed.
- Develop market-competitive quotes aligned with defined profit margin goals.
- Utilize design support and specifications for quote requirements.
- Collaborate with department managers to obtain necessary information, labor, and materials for sales facilitation.
- Continuously enhance knowledge of customer needs and requirements to maximize new and existing product sales.
- Identify and support up-sell opportunities during project execution.
- Manage expenses and submit reports by established deadlines.
- Collaborate with the Director of Marketing for quote presentation and market exposure materials.
- Utilize CRM to coordinate sales efforts and align with Tech Sales team responsibilities.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with preferred vendors and OEMs.
- Perform other assigned duties.
Job Specific Requirements: Competencies:
- Strong familiarity with Maintenance production and processes.
- Ability to interpret aircraft maintenance, parts, and structural manuals.
- Proficiency in CAMP systems and research.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills in straightforward situations.
- Positive attitude and ability to meet key deliverables and objectives.
- Ability to analyze and interpret technical procedures, journals, and regulations.
- Ability to present information effectively to management, customers, and the public.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to develop accurate and market-competitive quotes, including man-hours and materials for paint and interior projects.
- Fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
Job Specific Requirements: Physical:
- Ability to sit or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 10 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Ability to reach, grasp, and pull with hands and arms.
- Ability to climb, balance, kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl.
- Visual acuity correctable to 20/20.
- Tolerance for limited exposure to outdoor weather and loud noises.
Job Specific Requirements: Other:
- Ability to obtain and maintain AOA badge or Airport requirements.
- Regularly scheduled attendance required.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum five years of business aviation experience required.
- Aircraft maintenance experience required.
- A&P license preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with CRM tools.
