Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Support Technician II to join our IT team. In this role, you will provide essential day-to-day technical support for both internal and external users, ensuring the seamless operation of IT systems, services, and equipment. As an IT Support Technician, you will play a key role in troubleshooting, resolving technical issues, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our technology infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- User Support: Provide prompt and effective technical support to users, both in-person and remotely (via phone, email, or chat), ensuring a positive experience for internal and external users.
- Technical Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues with Windows Servers, Desktops, Laptops, and Mobile Devices to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Hardware & Software Management: Install, configure, and maintain a wide range of IT hardware, software, and networking components.
- System Deployment: Assist with the deployment and setup of new IT systems, including hardware and software installations and configurations.
- Account Management: Manage user accounts, permissions, and access within platforms such as Active Directory and Microsoft 365.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the IT team to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of all IT systems, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues.
- Network Monitoring: Monitor and troubleshoot network performance to ensure reliable connectivity for all users.
- Documentation & Knowledge Sharing: Maintain accurate documentation of solutions to issues and update the knowledge base to support team members and end users.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall success of the IT department.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in providing end-user support and technical troubleshooting.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of computer hardware, Windows operating systems, Active Directory, and networking concepts. Experience with Microsoft 365 is a plus.

Work Environment & Travel:
- In-Office: Work in-office at our Milan, IL location.
- On-Call Support: Provide IT support on an on-call basis, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Travel: Occasional travel to remote locations for setup, repairs, or troubleshooting may be required.
Salary & Benefits
Wage Scale:
The wage scale for this position ranges from $50,000 to $65,000 a year based on experience, qualifications, and performance. Specific compensation for this role will be determined by several factors including but not limited to; minimum and preferred qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience and location.
