General Summary:  The Director of Paint & Interiors Sales is responsible for driving revenue growth through the development and execution of a comprehensive sales strategy for paint and interior services within the business aviation sector. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on customer engagement to ensure exceptional service delivery and profitability. 
 
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Strategy & Execution 
  • Develop and implement the annual Paint & Interiors sales plan, budget and pipeline aligned with company objectives.
  • Achieve or exceed targeted gross margins and revenue goals as outlined in the annual operating plan and in collaboration with shop capacity.
  • Drive strategic opportunities to enhance project value by identifying and executing up-sell and cross-sell initiatives throughout the specification development process.
  • Partner with Marketing to ensure sales collateral and support tools align with business objectives, contributing to the development of the annual Paint & Interior marketing strategy.
Customer & Vendor Engagement 
  • Work directly with prospects and customers to understand requirements and timelines.
  • Prepare detailed presentations, specifications, proposals, and pricing for requested services that maximizes sales results.
  • Maintain strong relationships to ensure repeat business and customer satisfaction.
  • Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with preferred vendors to ensure quality, timely delivery, and cost efficiency.
Team Leadership 
  • Provide day-to-day leadership, direction and coordination for the Design Team, and Paint & Interiors Sales/Estimation Team.
  • Foster collaboration between sales, design, and production teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Drive continuous development of the Tech Sales team’s understanding of customer needs and requirements to optimize solutions and maximize opportunities for new and existing products.
Operational Excellence 
  • Oversee and ensure the integrity and strategic utilization of the CRM system to manage all customer and prospect interactions, driving data accuracy and actionable insights for sales performance.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with department managers to secure accurate information and competitive pricing, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and supporting successful sales outcomes.
  • Partner with the Paint and Interior Department Manager to align sales initiatives with workforce expertise, production capabilities, and capacity planning to ensure successful project execution.
Special Requirements:
  • Travel up to 35% for customer and vendor relationships, trade shows and other company related events
 Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Aviation Management, Marketing or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in sales leadership within business aviation or luxury interiors, with a design emphasis
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and managing high-value projects
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and interpret technical specifications and translate customer requirements into actionable plans

The base salary range for this role is $120,000 USD - $180,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of experience levels. Specific compensation for this role will be determined by several factors including but not limited to; minimum and preferred qualifications, knowledge, skills, abilities, education, experience and location. This role is also eligible for a discretionary bonus and/or commission.
