Overview

The Quality Engineer is to promote quality awareness throughout the Company by stressing the importance of adhering to the Quality Management System. Responsible for ensuring that products, processes, analysis, and documentation are being done according to various quality-controlled standards of the company and its customers specific requirements. RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Complete First Article Inspections, PPAP documentation and Customer Surveys/Assessments.

·        Follow up with Corrective Action documentation and follow-up with customers/vendors.

·        Investigate and document vendor rejects.

·        Perform internal audits.

·        Maintain ISO documentation and work instructions update in the English language

·        Assist on the manufacturing floor process and product inspection as needed

·        Perform FMEA, MSA and SPC process capability studies.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must ensure the accuracy of information and be able to multitask in a fast-paced environment. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

·        Bachelor’s degree in technical field.

·        A minimum of one year of related experience in a manufacturing environment with PPAP’s and Internal Auditing.

·        Must have excellent blueprint reading and interpretation skills (GD&T knowledge).

·        Must be proficient with calipers, micrometers in both Metric and Inch.

·        Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and overall computer skills.

·        Must be able to fulfill objectives with minimum direct supervision.

·        Must be willing to learn and follow instructions.

·        Must have excellent written communication skills and be able to efficiently communicate with co-workers and/or customers.

·        Must be able to move 30lbs boxes, material rolls or wire spools.

·        Prefer IATF16949 and/or ISO9001 knowledge.

·        SAP MRP system knowledge a plus

·        ASQ CQE or CQT certification is a plus
