Summary:
The Inventory and Warehouse Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory control and warehouse operations. This role involves managing inventory levels, ensuring the accuracy of stock, optimizing warehouse processes, and supervising warehouse staff. The successful candidate will work closely with various departments to streamline operations, improve efficiency, and contribute to the overall success of the company. This position requires strong organizational, leadership, and analytical skills, as well as a commitment to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Essential Duties, Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Monitor and manage inventory accuracy, conducting regular audits and reconciliations.
  • Forecast inventory needs based on sales trends, production schedules, and lead times.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and sales teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify and address discrepancies and variances.
  • Oversee daily warehouse operations, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
  • Implement and maintain effective warehouse layout and organization strategies.
  • Supervise and train warehouse staff, promoting a safe and productive work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Manage the receiving, storage, and distribution of goods in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring timely and cost-effective transportation.
  • Negotiate and manage relationships with shipping carriers and third-party logistics providers.
  • Track and monitor shipment status, resolving any issues that arise during transit.
  • Optimize distribution processes to minimize costs and improve delivery times.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices.
  • Utilize inventory management software and other tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure and improve warehouse performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline operations and achieve company goals.
  • Generate regular reports on inventory levels, turnover rates, and other relevant metrics.
  • Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis to support decision-making.
  • Prepare and present reports to senior management as required.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree/5 years related experience
Preference for lean training 
Language Skills:
Effectively communicate and understand job instructions both verbally and written in the English language.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to perform basic mathematical computations; ability to convert metric units correctly and applying the conversions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
