Position

As a Research Associate at Eikon, you will join an interdisciplinary team of highly creative and talented individuals. You will have a key role in pioneering small-molecule screening assays using Eikon’s exclusive live-cell, single-molecule high-throughput screening platform. You will collaborate with a team of biologists, chemists, computer scientists, and engineers who rely on the biological data you will develop to drive drug discovery.

What You’ll Do

  • Work with scientists to support high-throughput screens using Eikon’s single-molecule imaging platform, cell culture, and other necessary molecular/cellular biology experiments to advance drug discovery projects
  • Keep detailed and organized electronic records of experimental protocols and results
  • Readily communicate to scientists for scheduling day-to-day tasks
  • Be responsible for ensuring timely delivery of reliable assay output, maintaining rigor and reproducibility at the forefront
  • Analyze and interpret data, and summarize key biological results to project teams
  • Collaborate and communicate across a diverse team of biologists, chemists, computer scientists, and engineers
  • Be able to adapt to new and fast-evolving methods and techniques

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology, cell biology, chemical biology, biochemistry, biophysics, bioengineering, or related fields; plus 1 year lab experience
  • Basic knowledge of fluorescence microscopy
  • Capacity for quantitative and/or statistical analysis using common software tools (e.g., Microsoft Suite, GraphPad Prism, etc.)
  • Experience in mammalian cell culture preferred
  • Working experience with fluorescence microscopy, automation, and other high-throughput instrumentation is a plus
  • Knowledge of programming language (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or R) is a plus
  • Working experience with high-throughput data analysis is a plus

The expected salary range for this role is $66,000 to $76,000 depending on skills, competency, and the market demand for your expertise.
