We are looking for a motivated individual to join us as an Intern Security Engineer. In this role, you’ll get the chance to learn and grow alongside experienced colleagues. If you’re interested in the technical aspects of Security Engineering and are looking for an opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic team that directly impacts Egnyte’s security, then this is the place for you. 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO: 
  • Learn by immersion alongside experienced Team Members in the fields of Cloud, Product, and Corporate Security.
  • Identify and remediate security risks to improve Egnyte’s overall security posture and resilience.
  • Support DevSecOps initiatives by integrating security checks and automated testing into the CI/CD pipelines.
  • Contribute to secure Development by participating in code reviews and helping teams implement security best practices.
  • Assist in managing IAM (Identity and Access Management) policies to ensure least-privilege access across cloud and corporate assets.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art security tools (SAST, DAST, CSPM) to monitor and protect our infrastructure and applications
  • Contribute to our Infrastructure, Configuration, and Policy as Code codebase to automate security at scale.

 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Willingness and aptitude to quickly learn new technologies and security processes
  • Solid foundation in Computer Science (Operating Systems, Networking, Software development principles)
  • Familiarity with application security frameworks, such as OWASP Top 10, SANS Top 25 etc.
  • Basic understanding of Cloud Security concepts and modern infrastructure (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, or Kubernetes).
  • Ability to read and write simple scripts in Python, Bash, or other scripting languages to automate repetitive security tasks.
  • Interest in DevSecOps, Application and Cloud Security methodologies as a way to bridge the gap between security and engineering.
  • Good English skills (B1/B2) to effectively communicate about technical matters
  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with DevOps, Software Engineers, and corporate stakeholders.
  • Active University student
