Senior UX/Data Visualization Designer

Overview

Edifecs is seeking a talented and experienced Senior UX Designer with strong data visualization skills to join our growing Experience Design team. The ideal candidate possesses a combination of technical, creative, and analytical skills to transform data into compelling visual stories. The candidate will work on the next generation of products, tools and platforms, translating user needs, functional requirements, and technical constraints into designs that are user-centric, intuitive, and engaging - shaping the future of our brand.

What you will do:

• Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups that effectively communication design ideas.
• Address complex data challenges and evaluate data criticality to determine the most effective way to present data.
• Use design principles to create visuals that are not only accurate and informative but also aesthetically pleasing and easy to interpret.
• Ensure designs present relevant and insightful visualizations. Create user flows and journey maps to ensure a user-centered design approach.
• Ask the right questions to define key problems to solve for features, data stories, and new products.
• Perform usability testing and iterate on designs based on feedback, best practices, trends, and data.
• Ensure designs are accessible and meet usability standards.
• Apply and contribute to design language systems.
• Proactively collaborate across functions and time zones.
• Work closely with developers to ensure seamless implementation of designs.
• Champion user-centric design and customer centricity throughout all product phases and across the organization.

What you will bring:

• Any relevant industry experience is welcomed.
• Bachelor’s Degree or Certificate in a relevant field (HCI, data analysis, or interaction design)
• 5+ Years of UX/UI and data design experience and desire to learn.
• Proven experience as a UX Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing a thorough understanding of good design process and a clean design aesthetic. DO NOT APPLY WITHOUT A PORTFOLIO.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex concepts into intuitive and appealing user interfaces.
• Ability to identify and define the “right” problem to solve from a set of diverse data.
• Skills in presenting and explaining design and visualization to non-technical audiences.
• Ability to recognize and predict use cases and user interaction, including happy path,edge, and corner cases, and incorporate them into designs.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. Must be willing and able to proactively reach out to stakeholders and team members for collaboration and support.
• Demonstrable understanding of modern software development processes and concerns as they relate to design.
• Expertise with design and prototyping tools, such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD.
