Overview

Edifecs is seeking a Cloud Service Engineer to join our SaaS Services team. This role involves providing technical support to enterprise clients, handling complex troubleshooting, R&D, environment setup, and network configuration. You'll collaborate with Operations, Infrastructure, and Support teams to deliver high-quality solutions and a consistent, responsive customer experience. Responsibilities include following standard procedures for service requests, incident management, and change control, while continuously improving your technical skills and meeting performance goals.


What you will do:

 

  • Configures, and administers infrastructure in both private (Edifecs-managed) and public (Amazon Web Services) cloud environments.
  • Provision scalable solutions using cloud-based services and tools in AWS to supplement Edifecs’ hosted solutions.
  • Assist and support the deployment, management, and operation of scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems in both private and public cloud environments by working directly with the Infrastructure, SaaS, Professional Services and Engineering stakeholders.
  • Manage AWS services, specifically, EC2, S3, RDS, EBS Volumes, ELB and Security Groups etc.
  • Manage private cloud environment including VM\VMWare infrastructure, various storage technologies, database servers, F5 or similar load-balancer technology
  • Apply advanced troubleshooting skills and system performance analysis
  • Identify, manage and resolve infrastructure security risks and implement best practices to minimize impact of security vulnerabilities.
  • Provides subject matter expert technical support to customers and internal support and engineering teams as needed.
  • Identifies and documents product bugs and feature request and works with internal support teams, external providers, as well as customers to implement effective solutions
  • Contributes to planning and implementation of disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity

 

What you will bring:

 

  • Bachelors in Computer Science or other technology related program or equivalent experience in implementing, and operating Java stack based enterprise applications
  • 5+ years of technical support/systems engineer experience in a HOSTED/SaaS environment
  • 3+ years experience supporting applications in AWS at an enterprise level - building solutions using AWS services such as EMR, RDS, lambdas, SNS, SQS, S3, Redshift etc.
  • Experience with Cloud Formation / Terraform to deploy and manage cloud solutions AWS Sys-Ops administrator certification highly preferred
  • 2+ years experience with Containers and orchestration services like Kubernetes, Docker etc
  • Familiarity with Network architecture and firewalls
  • Experience administering sftp solutions
  • Knowledge of monitoring solutions & response procedures.  Experience with AWS monitoring & logging services
  • Project-related skills.  Able to manage simultaneous projects with aggressive deliverable dates and varying priorities
  • Proficient understanding of Linux and Windows
  • Proficient understanding with scripting languages, and software and infrastructure automation skills

 

Note: The expected base pay range for this position is $89,834-123,522 per year.
