Overview
The Technical Project Manager maintains responsibility for the lifecycle management for implementation projects consisting of new clients and applications, and existing clients with new applications and/or modifications to existing applications.
What you will do:
- Manages the lifecycle of activities on projects including business requirements definition, process analysis, test plans, testing & implementation,
- Go-live plans and post-implementation review.
- Reviews architecture documents to confirm they meet project requirements and deadlines, identifying product enhancements as needed.
- Creates project and proposal documentation, content, and estimates; contributes to and continuously evolves the implementation methodology.
- Actively leads multiple complex deployment projects at marquee customers.
- Manages resource requests and calendars for deployment teams.
- Defines project plans for the implementation team; provides budgetary estimates for new implementation contracts, tracking budget and time/effort costs across all assigned projects.
- Maintains project status and periodic status reports to customers; manages issues and risk logs for the assigned projects.
- Continuously feed deployment team enhancements back to product management.
- Sets up triage process with internal departments to complete problem resolution process.
- Manage multiple project escalations to triage resolution with product support.
- Interfaces with relevant partners at customer sites to ensure project success.
What you will bring:
- B. Tech/BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- PMI Certification preferred.
- 15+ years’ experience in techno–functional roles with 3 years of experience utilizing knowledge in standard project management methodologies.
- 3 years of experience interfacing with customer delivery teams directly and should have worked on onshore/offshore delivery models.
- 3 years of experience with programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, PLSQL, TSQL or equivalent
- Hands-on” technical expertise in the healthcare industry is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to set directions for a project team.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a small team
- Ability to build strong relationship across the client’s leadership team and within Edifecs
- Ability to manage small to medium size projects
- Demonstrated ability to influence client leadership and Edifecs leadership
- Ability to work under pressure without getting flustered
- Demonstrated ability to understand and apply company policies and procedures.
- Strong analytical, prioritization, and collaboration skills in partnering with other internal groups
- Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members and clients.
