SALARY RANGE: The anticipated salary range for this role is $20.00/HR to $28.00/HR. This range reflects a good faith estimate based on the targeted level for the role and typical compensation benchmarks across U.S. locations. Actual compensation may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications, experience, geographical location, and internal alignment.

 

SUMMARY

Edge Autonomy is seeking a hardworking Inventory and Logistics Specialist who has experience in international shipping and receiving and inventory control. 5S experience is a plus. An Inventory and Logistics Specialist is organized, detail-oriented, and self-directed person would do well in this role.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties

  • Receive incoming shipments
  • Packaging and shipping products for domestic and international export
  • Document handling
  • Prepare and present inventory reports
  • Maintain accurate inventory procedures, counts, and policies
  • Examine various documents, including invoices, bills of lading, and shipping statements, to ensure compliance with regulations governing the shipment, receipt, and processing of documentation of exported material
  • Ensures all policies and procedures are consistently followed
  • Following all office procedures, including tracking hours and cleaning up workspaces
  • Support miscellaneous stocking, kit-picking, and production related tasks as assigned
  • Adhere to strict cycle count procedures to maintain accurate inventory
  • Communicate transaction problems or irregularities with Supervisor
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Monitors the safety and security of goods and materials.
  • Reviews orders for special requests and shipping information
  • Receive incoming shipments. Pull original order(s), match order to incoming shipment and move the products to inventory.
  • Match all original requests, orders, received or shipped products, track late orders with follow-up and documentation, move material to inventory control area, return damaged or incorrect products, documents all process on company computers for record retention, communicate with management on any concerns.
  • Pack products in containers for storage or shipment.Unpack containers for inventory receiving
  • Move material with use of carts, hand trucks, pallet jacks and forklift; backfill material shortages for departmental needs
  • Perform cycle count on inventory and resolve count variances on a weekly basis
  • Maintain data and records related to shipping and receiving activities
  • Optimizes efficient layouts, workflows, and utilization of warehouse space

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

The following are a non-exhaustive list of qualifications for the position:

  • High School Diploma
  • Forklift Certified
  • IATA (Hazmat) Certified
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience of International Shipping Regulations
  • Hazmat and Lithium-Ion battery shipping and packaging experience
  • Detail Oriented
  • Self-Directed
  • Experience with shipping platforms, such as UPS, FedEx, and DHL
  • Familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems or other inventory management systems
  • Proficiency in programs such as Microsoft Excel and other data management system
  • Positive attitude
  • Solution oriented
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Ability to communicate effectively 
  • Strong attention to detail

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The work environment may involve a standard office setting while also incorporating elements of a production area. Employees will use standard office equipment, including computers, and must demonstrate stamina to sit or stand while maintaining attention to detail despite potential interruptions. The role may require occasional activities such as walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and bending. Vision is necessary for reading printed materials and a computer screen, while hearing and speech are essential for effective communication both in person and over the telephone. Additionally, the position may necessitate travel by air or automobile. Employees may be required to use personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coats, to ensure safety in the production environment. Employees may be able to lift up to 30 pounds as needed.
