WORK LOCATION: Ann Arbor, MI
SALARY RANGE: $20 - $22
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt
FIRST SHIFT HOURS: 5:00 am - 3:30 pm
SUMMARY
The Production Assembly Technician performs a variety of tasks/processes in the manufacturing of Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFC) and supporting products. The role of Production Assembly Technician requires the ability and passion for attention to details. As a Production Assembly Technician you will work in a fast-paced team production environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties.
Utilizes and follows detailed work instructions to perform a variety of processes including:
a) Batching & mixing- including use of scales
b) Performing machine operations – including use of hand tools
c) Operating mechanical equipment
d) Performing assembly operations
- Follows all safety protocols including the use of PPE
- Records data as specified and does so with a high degree of accuracy
- Keeps work area in accordance with 5S
- Performs duties meeting quality, part and production specifications
- Trained on and performs routinely up to three Standard Processes
- Is a positive respectful team member that communicates & take direction constructively as required
- Communicates issues or concerns effectively to maintain successful operations
- Successfully exercises independent judgement within primary job functions
- Being on time and present for work is critical in this position

- Computer literate
- Proven ability to communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats, constructively assertive
- Ability to read and follow technical instructions
- Must be able to differentiate standard colors
- High degree of manual dexterity and fine motor skills
- Solutions oriented when confronted with challenges
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma preferred
- Previous assembly experience in manufacturing a plus
- Experience working with mechanical production machinery a plus
