SALARY RANGE: The anticipated salary range for this role is $125,200 to $169,400 annually. This range reflects a good faith estimate based on the targeted level for the role and typical compensation benchmarks across U.S. locations. Actual compensation may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications, experience, geographical location, and internal alignment.

 

SUMMARY

As the Supply Chain Manager, you will play a critical role in overseeing all aspects of the U.S. supply chain operations, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and supplier relationship management. Your expertise in supply chain management, strong analytical skills, and ability to drive operational efficiency will be essential in supporting the company's growth and ensuring customer satisfaction. 

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties.

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall supply chain performance. 
  • Oversee the end-to-end supply chain operations, including procurement, materials management, production planning, inventory control, logistics, and supplier management. 
  • Lead the sourcing and procurement activities, including supplier selection, negotiation of contracts, and establishment of long-term partnerships. 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality materials and components. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, manufacturing, sales, and finance, to align supply chain activities with overall business objectives. 
  • Develop and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure and monitor supply chain performance, including supplier performance, on-time delivery, inventory turns, and cost efficiency. 
  • Implement demand forecasting, inventory management, and production planning processes to meet customer demands while minimizing lead times and optimizing inventory levels. 
  • Identify and implement process improvements, automation, and digitalization initiatives to enhance supply chain visibility, efficiency, and agility. 
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices in supply chain management. 
  • Monitor market trends, emerging technologies, and industry disruptions to identify potential risks and opportunities in the supply chain. 
  • Assess and manage supply chain risks, develop contingency plans, and implement business continuity strategies. 
  • Collaborate with the finance team to develop and manage the supply chain budget, monitor costs, and drive cost reduction initiatives. 
  • Drive sustainability and social responsibility initiatives within the supply chain, including ethical sourcing and environmental stewardship. 
  • Lead and develop a high-performing supply chain team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. 
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including executive management, operations, sales, and engineering teams. 
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in supply chain management. 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

The following are a non-exhaustive list of qualifications for the position: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCP) are desirable. 
  • Proven experience as a Supply Chain Manager or a similar leadership role in the aerospace or aviation industry, preferably with exposure to UAS/UAV products. 
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, practices, and technologies. 
  • Excellent understanding of procurement, materials management, production planning, logistics, and inventory management. 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute supply chain strategies that align with business objectives. 
  • Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, with experience in managing complex supplier relationships and driving cost savings. 
  • Experience in implementing supply chain digitalization initiatives, such as advanced analytics, automation, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. 
  • Proficiency in supply chain analytics and the use of data-driven insights to drive decision-making and process improvements. 
  • Familiarity with international trade regulations, customs procedures, and logistics management for national and international operations. 
  • Strong leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing supply chain team. 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement. 
  • Solid organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines. 
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is desirable. 
  • Ability to continually learn and grow, enhancing your knowledge of your area and current trends both in the industry and as a leader. 

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Working knowledge of the FAR and DFARS, including flowdown requirements, with a demonstrated record of placing compliant procurements across a range of complexity and dollar values.

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The work environment may involve a standard office setting while also incorporating elements of a production area. Employees will use standard office equipment, including computers, and must demonstrate stamina to sit or stand while maintaining attention to detail despite potential interruptions. The role may require occasional activities such as walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and bending. Vision is necessary for reading printed materials and a computer screen, while hearing and speech are essential for effective communication both in person and over the telephone. Additionally, the position may necessitate travel by air or automobile. Employees may be required to use personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coats, to ensure safety in the production environment. Employees may be able to lift up to 30 pounds as needed.
