We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to join our procurement team. This role focuses on the acquisition of aviation and optronics-related components and materials. Each Purchasing Specialist is assigned a specific niche within the supply chain to develop deep expertise and contribute to the company’s competitive advantage.
 
Responsibilities
  • Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers within a defined niche.
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders in accordance with technical and operational requirements.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, invoices, and delivery documentation.
  • Analyze inventory levels and collaborate with engineering, production, and planning teams to forecast demand.
  • Assess procurement processes to identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and risk mitigation.
  • Work closely with colleagues across global offices, contributing to a cohesive and efficient international supply chain.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in purchasing goods, materials, and services.
  • Experience in or a strong interest in aviation, electronics, or high-tech manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong understanding of supplier selection and contract management.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency in procurement and inventory management software.
  • Good command of MS Office tools.
  • Fluency in Latvian and English; knowledge of Russian will be considered an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in economics, logistics, business administration, engineering, or a related field.
