We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Purchasing Specialist to join our procurement team. This role focuses on the acquisition of aviation and optronics-related components and materials. Each Purchasing Specialist is assigned a specific niche within the supply chain to develop deep expertise and contribute to the company’s competitive advantage.
Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers within a defined niche.
- Prepare and issue purchase orders in accordance with technical and operational requirements.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, contracts, invoices, and delivery documentation.
- Analyze inventory levels and collaborate with engineering, production, and planning teams to forecast demand.
- Assess procurement processes to identify opportunities for cost savings, efficiency improvements, and risk mitigation.
- Work closely with colleagues across global offices, contributing to a cohesive and efficient international supply chain.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in purchasing goods, materials, and services.
- Experience in or a strong interest in aviation, electronics, or high-tech manufacturing sectors.
- Strong understanding of supplier selection and contract management.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.
- Ability to work in an international and multicultural environment.
- Proficiency in procurement and inventory management software.
- Good command of MS Office tools.
- Fluency in Latvian and English; knowledge of Russian will be considered an advantage.
- Bachelor’s degree in economics, logistics, business administration, engineering, or a related field.
