FLSA STATUS: Exempt

SALARY RANGE: The anticipated salary range for this role is $68,100 to $102,300 annually. This range reflects a good faith estimate based on the targeted level for the role and typical compensation benchmarks across U.S. locations. Actual compensation may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications, experience, geographical location, and internal alignment.

 

SUMMARY

Focuses on the overarching system, managing proactive risk assessments, internal audits, process definition, and continuous system improvement. Establishing, maintaining, improving, and training process standards to prevent quality and safety lapses before they occur.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties.

  • Document Control Support: Reviewing, updating, communicating, and organizing quality manuals, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and compliance records.
  • Audit Support: Helping prepare for internal and external quality audits, gathering requested files, and tracking corrective actions. Record non-conformances and assist in CAPA follow-up. Participate in random, special, follow-up, scheduled internal audits.
  • Data Tracking: Monitoring daily production or service data to spot errors, trends, or areas that do not meet company rules.
  • Training Assistance: Helping onboard new workers with safety and quality rules or scheduling refresher courses for current staff. Training assistance on site level policies and procedures.
  • Support: Support Site Leadership with compliance education, improvement and enforcement.
  • Assumes all other responsibilities as assigned

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3 to 8+ years of hands-on experience with quality assurance or regulatory compliance within aerospace or manufacturing organizations.
  • Thorough familiarity and working knowledge with the application of the AS 9100, ISO 9001 standards, quality tools, and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge with root-cause analysis, risk mitigation, documentation control and strong cross-functional communication.
  • Working knowledge with Key Performance Indicator tracking and metrics and proficiency in Microsoft excel.
  • Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor Certification of the AS 9100 / ISO 9001 Standard.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Internal Auditor or Lead Auditor Certification to the current version of the AS 9100 / ISO 9001 Standard

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The work environment may involve a standard office setting while also incorporating elements of a production area. Employees will use standard office equipment, including computers, and must demonstrate stamina to sit or stand while maintaining attention to detail despite potential interruptions. The role may require occasional activities such as walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and bending. Vision is necessary for reading printed materials and a computer screen, while hearing and speech are essential for effective communication both in person and over the telephone. Additionally, the position may necessitate travel by air or automobile. Employees may be required to use personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coats, to ensure safety in the production environment. Employees may be able to lift up to 30 pounds as needed.
