CONFIGURATION MANAGER

We are looking for a Configuration Manager to ensure that product configuration, documentation, and change control are effectively managed across engineering, production, and quality functions. This role maintains configuration integrity throughout the product lifecycle, coordinates Design and Engineering Change Requests, leads CCB meetings, and ensures compliance with AS9100 and customer configuration requirements.
 
Responsibilities: 
  • Lead and document Configuration Control Board (CCB) meetings.
  • Coordinate the review, approval, and release of all Design Change Requests (DCRs), Engineering Change Requests (ECRs), and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
  • Maintain configuration baselines, item revisions, and change histories for hardware, software, and documentation.
  • Administer DCR/ECR/ECO workflows within Product Lifecycle Management (3D experience) and ensure consistency with ERP (D365) and released product data.
  • Coordinate configuration data integrity between Engineering, Production, and Quality.
  • Support production and production-engineering changes, ensure all modifications are traceable, properly documented, and communicated.
  • Develop and maintain configuration management plans, procedures, and work instructions consistent with AS9100.
  • Manage serialization, marking, and traceability documentation for internal and customer deliveries.
  • Conduct configuration audits and support internal/external quality audits.
  • Identify and implement improvements in configuration workflows, and data accuracy.
  Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, systems, or a related technical field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in configuration or change management within an engineering or manufacturing environment.
  • Solid understanding of configuration and change management principles (AS9100).
  • Experience managing DCR/ECR/ECO processes and configuration baselines.
  • Working knowledge of PLM systems (preferably 3D experience) and ERP systems (D365, SAP).
  • Strong attention to detail, documentation discipline, and cross-department coordination.
  • Analytical and structured approach to data and process management.
  • High integrity and neutrality when enforcing configuration discipline.
  • Clear communication and facilitation skills across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple concurrent change requests and maintain deadlines.
  • Proactive mindset and focus on continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in Latvian and English written and spoken.
