We are seeking a skilled Flight Test Engineer to join our Flight Operations Department, responsible for ensuring that component, subsystem, and system/aircraft tests are thoroughly planned and flawlessly executed.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Work with designs and test requirements to generate flight test plans for existing product line.
  • Engage in projects to define test requirements, clarify test complexity, and confirm that testing objectives are achievable with the available equipment and schedule
  • Evaluate testing standards and incorporate in flight testing plans.
  • Conduct and coordinate tests with colleagues to accomplish test goals.
  • Provide detailed and helpful feedback to internal stake holders, both formal and informal, to improve design stages.
  • Foster a culture of continuous flight test improvement and ongoing knowledge development.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in flight/UAV engineering field: aerospace, mechanical or similar.
  • Experience in conducting formal tests at the component, subsystem, and system level.
  • Experience in conducting test of aircraft/UAVs and generate formal test plans and reports.
  • Experience in setup for tests and field equipment deployment, also remote locations.
  • Preferred experience in piloting, maintaining or designing UAVs.
  • Preferred experience in Radio Control or other flight skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency of MS Office: Word and Excel.
  • Fluent in Latvian and English, both written and spoken. Russian language is considered as an advantage.
