FLSA STATUS: Exempt

SALARY RANGE: The anticipated annual salary range for this role is $70,900 to $98,500 (Huntsville), $78,000 to $108,400 (San Luis Obispo)This range reflects a good faith estimate based on the targeted level for the role and typical compensation benchmarks across U.S. locations. Actual compensation may vary depending on the selected candidate’s qualifications, experience, geographical location, and internal alignment.

 

SUMMARY

The Supply Chain Compliance and Training Specialist ensures the Company’s procurement and subcontracting activities comply with Customer requirements and applicable Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) requirements. This role is critical to attain and maintain an approved purchasing system and support government audits.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties.

  • Develop, implement, and maintain procurement policies and procedures aligned with FAR, DFARS, and CPSR requirements
  • Provide training to Supply Chain Teams on compliance requirements and best practices
  • Support the utilization of Tools to help the organization prepare and maintain compliant documentation for their procurement files and dashboards to track compliance metrics
  • Review purchase orders, subcontracts, and related documentation for compliance with FAR/DFARS, and other defense acquisition regulations
  • Serve as the final Compliance check and reviewer for designated critical purchase orders
  • Assist in maintaining compliance records for DCMA audits, internal reviews, and government reporting requirements
  • Identify compliance risks in procurement processes and recommend mitigation strategies
  • Monitor regulatory updates and communicate changes to stakeholders
  • Prepare compliance reports and risk assessments for management and leadership
  • Support supplier onboarding and adherence to Company policies related to suppliers
  • Collaborate with legal, contracts, and supply chain teams to resolve compliance issues promptly

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of Supply Chain Policies and Processes
  • Ability to interpret and apply FAR/DFARS regulations
  • Knowledge of SpendLogic Software
  • Experience with Odoo ERP

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • NCMA Membership and/or Certification
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to take initiative and think proactively
  • Knowledge of the CPSR Guidebook and FAR Part 12 Requirements

This position may require access to information that is subject to compliance with the International Traffic Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (“EAR”). WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The work environment may involve a standard office setting while also incorporating elements of a production area. Employees will use standard office equipment, including computers, and must demonstrate stamina to sit or stand while maintaining attention to detail despite potential interruptions. The role may require occasional activities such as walking, climbing, stooping, crouching, and bending. Vision is necessary for reading printed materials and a computer screen, while hearing and speech are essential for effective communication both in person and over the telephone. Additionally, the position may necessitate travel by air or automobile. Employees may be required to use personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coats, to ensure safety in the production environment. Employees may be able to lift up to 30 pounds as needed.
