SALARY RANGE: $90,000 - $123,500

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

 

SUMMARY

The Master Scheduler is a critical professional position that supports the Program Management department. The Master Scheduler maintains a strong background in project scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management, with a focus on delivering complex programs on time and within budget. This individual will utilize Microsoft Project extensively to accomplish these objectives. This role is critical to the success of our projects, ensuring that all phases of program execution are strategically aligned with business objectives.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

The following job functions are a basic requirement but are not limited to and may be assigned other duties.  

  • Create and manage integrated master schedules for multiple projects using Microsoft Project, ensuring alignment with program milestones, deliverables, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Utilize advanced scheduling techniques to optimize project timelines and resource utilization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and manufacturing, to allocate resources effectively and efficiently.
  • Monitor resource availability and capacity to ensure project needs are met without over-committing personnel.
  • Identify potential scheduling risks and develop proactive mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines.
  • Ensure that all IMS’ within the company are built and maintained in accordance with Industry Best Practices.
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and update risk management plans as necessary.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for schedule-related inquiries, facilitating clear and ongoing communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present schedule status reports to senior management, highlighting critical issues and proposed solutions.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement by implementing best practices in scheduling and project management.
  • Participate in lessons learned sessions to improve future scheduling processes and methodologies. 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

The following are a non-exhaustive list of qualifications for the position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in project scheduling, program management, or a related field within the aerospace and defense sector, with a proven track record of successful project delivery
  • Expert in Microsoft Project scheduling software
  • Proficient in additional scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, and other project management tools).
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools and techniques to support decision-making.
  • Knowledge of aerospace and defense regulations, compliance standards, and industry best practices.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM) techniques and project performance measurement.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools, enabling flexibility in project execution.

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • PMP certification or PMI-SP preferred
