Description

ECC is seeking candidates for a Quality Control Supervisor position working on-site in Maui for fires debris cleanup. Qualified local candidates and candidates with significant fires debris removal project experience are encouraged to apply. This position is full time and provides a full benefits package. This position requires working extended days (including Saturday and Sunday) and extended hours, as needed by the project. Additional compensation will be provided. Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions. Position start date is approximately February 2024 and is expected to last approximately 10 months.

    
The Quality Control (QC) Supervisor will assist and report to the QC Manager and may perform production-related duties. QC Supervisors are required to attend the Coordination and Mutual Understanding Meeting, QC meetings and be physically present at the project site to perform the three phases of control and prepare documentation for each definable feature of work in their area of responsibility. In this position, you will:    
    
  • Take appropriate action to ensure that work is performed in accordance with the ECC Quality Control Program, the design, the contract specifications, pertinent building codes & practices as well as national and local standards
  • Ensure implementation of the Three-Phase Control Process in accordance with Company standards and contract requirements
  • Work to actively promote and support the safety program with subcontractors and project team members on a daily basis
  • Ensure that required testing is conducted, evaluate test results, ensure results meet specifications, and document results
  • Inspect and document the receipt of all materials to ensure compliance with contract documents
  • Prepare and/or review of design and material submittals
  • Complete quality related documentation (field reports, logs, and records) in a timely and accurate manner
  • Investigate and recommend solutions to resolve environmetnal problems related to quality
  • Ensure implementation, documentation and close-out of corrective actions
  • Initiate stop work or re-work in coordination with the project team in circumstances with respect to work methodologies nonconformance
  • In addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position.
Requirements     
  • The ability to communicate in written and oral formats with diplomacy and tact
  • An aptitude for exercising independent thinking and reasoning
  • Skilled in setting up quality control testing equipment
  • Demonstrated knowledge of compliance in government environmental projects
  • Proven knowledge in reading and comprehending environmetnal project plans and related technical documents
  • Successful track record in effectively engaging with subcontractors
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office products, email systems, and Windows
  • Must possess a current Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractor’s certificate or the ability to obtain one within 60 days.
  • One (1) year of combined experience as a Superintendent, QC Supervisor, Project Manager, or Project Engineer on environmental projects.
  • Travel: Must be able and willing to work on-site at project location with periodic travel home with project management approval.
  • Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or Building Science. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.
Preferred Qualifications    
  • Applicable certifications in Quality
  • Two (2) years or more of combined experience as a Superintendent, QC Supervisor, Project Manager, or Project Engineer on environmental projects.
  • Knowledge of USACE Resident Management System (RMS)
  • OSHA 30 Hour Construction Certification
  • Familiarity with workplace health and safety concepts
  • First Aid and CPR Certification
  • Prior experience with Federal Government DoD environmental projects

    

  
ECC targeted base salary range for this position in Maui, HI is $66,560 to $72,800 annually with additional compensation available for additional hours worked.  
 Actual salary offered may be affected by education, training, certifications, experience, skills, level of responsibility, and location.
