Operations Specialist
Description
ECC is seeking candidates for an Operations Specialist responsible for operating two groundwater treatment plants on-site (not remote) at the former Milan Army Ammunitions Plant in Milan, TN. This position is responsible for performing daily operational duties of multiple groundwater treatment facilities and assisting with the execution of technical field activities on environmental sites in accordance with Company standards, regulatory criteria, and contractual obligations. Additionally, this position performs a wide range of project responsibilities including documentation, safety and quality compliance, vendor interaction and property administration. In this position, you will:
- Perform daily operations at two groundwater treatment facilities
- Perform a wide range of project-related activities as assigned by the manager
- Develop and maintain project documentation including government submittals, safety and quality reports, personnel lists and contact information, site photographs, meeting minutes, etc.
- Upload and maintain documents on the Project Portal
- Coordinate field activities with subcontractors and other project personnel
- Review project specification, required standards and applicable regulations to ensure compliance
- Identify, solicit and evaluate vendors for supplies and services and develop purchase orders
- Ensure timely receipt of project materials and supplies in the field
- Assist with Government Property Administration at the sites
- In addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position
- Applies working knowledge of general principles and analytical tools to a wide range of standard and non-standard situations
- Solves moderately complex problems; analyzes possible solutions and assesses using standard procedures
- Perform multiple concurrent tasks and meet timelines, as directed
- Works independently with moderate guidance from others
- Usually determines work priorities; effectively manages multiple tasks and deadlines
- Communicates well by written and verbal means
- Works well independently and as a team
- Solid computer skills for operating treatment plants, accessing daily reports, send/receive emails, scan and email documents, etc.
- Four years of progressively responsible experience supporting environmental or operations projects
- Education: High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in any discipline preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.
- Registration / certification in related field
- Knowledgeable and skilled in groundwater treatment technologies, including but not limited particulate filtration systems, sludge dewatering, ultraviolet oxidation, granular activated carbon systems, pumps/motors/compressors, chemical addition, pH controllers and sensors, and flow meters.
ECC targeted base salary range for this position is $55,000 to $60,000 annually.
Actual salary offered may be affected by education, training, certifications, experience, skills, level of responsibility, and location.
