Intern - overseas
Description
- Work with field and office engineers onsite, performing surveying, drawing and submittal reviews, and as-built construction reviews/checks in the field.
- Be embedded with the Quality and Safety Teams to review quality and safety requirements, perform inspections and generate reports.
- Under close supervision and following specific instructions, performs basic duties in support of the department
- May be assigned to complete special projects
- In addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position
- Ability to communicate in written and verbal formats
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Must be bilingual Japanese and English
- Must be able translate documents from Japanese to English correctly and efficiently
- Education: This position requires a high school diploma and must be currently enrolled as a second, third or fourth year student in an accredited university working towards a bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or Architecture from an accredited university.
- Prior construction project internship experience helpful, but not required
Travel (flight, lodging, transportation, meal) expenses will be provided while working on project sites, no other benefits provided.
