Finance Consultant
Description
- Coordinate with investment banks, export credit agencies, development finance institutions, and multilateral development banks to structure financing for projects.
- Review and analyze indicative loan term sheets to determine the all-in cost of the loan.
- Develop comparative analysis tables on the all-in cost of multiple indicative term sheets from various banks for a given project to provide recommendations.
- Conduct preliminary negotiations with banks to secure competitive indicative loan term sheets for the borrower.
- Travel across Europe and globally to meet with investment banks, export credit agencies, development finance institutions, and multilateral development banks.
- Attend conferences organized for banks to expand ECC’s global banking network.
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing banks to enhance ECC’s outreach in the banking sector.
- Prepare presentations, teasers, and project memos for projects intended for banking audiences.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of OECD policies and regulations.
- Perform due diligence, research, and analysis of preferred banks in specific countries to facilitate EPC-F deals.
- Stay updated on current events, critical issues, and relevant news in the investment banking sector.
- Educational Background: MBA in Finance or equivalent education, training, and practical experience in financial management.
- Global Banking Experience: Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with investment banks worldwide, including understanding their regional specializations, funding mechanisms, and financial products across North America, Europe, Asia, and emerging markets.
- International Finance Expertise: Proven experience working with export credit agencies, development finance institutions, and multilateral development banks for large-scale project financing.
- OECD Policy Proficiency: Strong understanding of OECD policies and frameworks related to export finance and investment banking regulations.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of five years in investment banking or finance-related roles, demonstrating expertise in deal structuring and financial modeling.
- Analytical Expertise: Advanced skills in cost analysis, comparative evaluations, and presenting actionable financial insights.
- Communication and Networking: Strong communication skills and the ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with global banking professionals.
- Industry Awareness: In-depth awareness of current trends, critical issues, and relevant news in the global investment banking sector, including risk and opportunity assessment.
- Technological Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and financial analysis tools to prepare presentations and detailed reports.
- Conferences and Networking: Proven ability to attend and leverage international banking and finance conferences to expand global connections and stay ahead of industry trends.
- Travel Readiness: Flexibility and readiness to travel globally on short notice for meetings, negotiations, and conferences.
