Laboratory Operations Coordinator
Dynacare is looking for 3 Laboratory Operations Coordinators to join our team in Brampton, ON. These are full time permanent roles, working 37.5 hours a week.
Monday - Friday from 8am -4pm
Monday -Friday Midnight to 8 am
4pm to 12am (7 days per week)
Coordinate and execute the movement of samples through the various departments by maintaining schedules regarding operations, employees, progress and deadlines. Working cross functionally with Procurement, Operations and Logistics, this role will build weekly operations plan for the Brampton Lab based on delivery schedule from logistics and external clients. This role will also leverage knowledge of Supply Chain and Operations to drive incremental improvements in our performance every single week.
·Reviews the operating systems to ensure test delivery due dates are in line with test required dates.
Works with planning to attain 100% on-time deliveries.
· Supports the implementation of identified process improvements.
·Facilitates communication between operations personnel, supply chain and planning to quickly react to conflicts and issues affecting operations schedules.
·Interfaces with material handling, requirements planning and purchasing to quickly identify material shortages impacting operations
·Attends meetings to provide WIP status and to gather program schedule information when required.
·Liaises with planning & operations to agree on schedule for work area using scheduling tools and systems.
·Works with planning & operations teams to position WIP, supplies and resources to meet schedule.
·Reports shift by shift performance against plan.
·3 to 5 years related experience working in a laboratory environment.
·Proficient in MS office, excellent computer and keyboarding skills
·Certified CLA with a quality background
·Critical thinking, problem solving methodology
·Continuous improvement mindset of bringing forward recommendations, collecting data and implementing solutions
·Prior experience in automation tracking in a fast-paced and demanding work environment.
·Previous experience servicing factory automation systems and/ or robotic systems and/or prior experience in diagnostics laboratory.
·Knowledge of interpersonal skills and techniques to interact effectively with direct reports and others
·Knowledge of all applicable laboratory regulatory requirements
·Proficient computer skills (MS Office and applicable software applications)
·Effective communication skills and work effectively with all levels of management and non-management employees
·Efficient in Microsoft Office skills
·Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement
·Ability to work both individually and in an established team setting
·Proved track record of strong customer service skills as well as excellent communication skills.
·Ability to interface with vendors, peers, internal support center employees in a positive and professional manner.
