Are you our next Project Manager?
The Project Manager will be responsible for the implementation of a custom internal software system used to run all operational processes within a business unit. This role will also manage the integration of a newly acquired business into Dynacare. The Project Manager will work closely with teams across IT, HR, Finance, and Operations to ensure the project is completed successfully, on time, and with minimal disruption.
Status: Contract (5 month)

How YOU will make a difference:
- Accountable for managing assignment of project resources including understanding of the skills and capabilities associated with those resources for all potential, approved and active projects
- Act as the liaison between Information Technology and TO/PMO functions, with expansion into other cross-functional teams in the future as it relates to resourcing across all project work
- Ensure that projects are staffed with the right set of resources and that resources have the skills required for the successful completion of tasks
- Optimize resource allocation by ensuring that resources are never over-allocated across multiple projects
- Review, evaluate, recommend, implement, and monitor Resource Management Tools available that automate and assist the process of resource allocation to projects and portfolio resource transparency including supply and demand of resources
- Engage in resource leveling, a technique in which start and finish dates are adjusted based on resource constraints with the goal of balancing demand for resources with the available supply
- Assess and forecast the demand and supply for various resources for a specified time period
- Work with the Project Managers assigned to projects in determining how to schedule certain tasks – concurrently, sequentially, simultaneously, in an effort to manage inherent organizational resource constraints and resolving these scheduling conflicts
- Accountable to balance the workload of primary resources over the course of the project(s), following the traditional triple constraints (time, cost and scope)
- Resolve resource conflicts or over allocations by assessing the impact on delays and updating planned tasks accordingly
- Develop metrics and reporting to monitor utilization of project resources to help manage capacity planning
- Review utilization rates for all project resources or individual resources to determine how much capacity is available over a certain time frame, which resources are underutilized and which resources are over utilized
What YOU bring to the role:
- Solid understanding of all tools and techniques for planning, organizing, estimating, monitoring and controlling projects
- Solid understanding of approaches, tools, and techniques for gaining the cooperation and support of others
- Project Management Institute Certification or undergraduate degree
- Proven experience utilizing Resource Management tools (5+ years)
- 3 to 5 years of Project Management experience preferably in the healthcare industry
- Strong working knowledge of MS Office Tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
- Demonstrated capability to apply critical thinking skills to constructively solve problems
- Clear and concise communication in both written and verbal form
- Effective at monitoring, coordinating and collaborating with cross functional departments
- Influencing – Ability to impact decisions within and outside of own functional area
- Ability to work with various x-functional teams and ensure collaborative working relationship
- Strong interpersonal, organizational and negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a multi-functional team environment with rapidly changing priorities
- Proficient in change and conflict management, and Resolution
