Are YOU our next Medical Laboratory Technologist?
We’re looking for a Medical Laboratory Technologist to join our Microbiology Lab team in Kelowna, BC. You will be responsible for delivering in a timely manner the highest level of clinical and scientific quality to everyone we serve with a variety of testing using the latest technology. Your contributions will make a difference – the results and reports you deliver will be provided to physicians and greatly impact the downstream solutions and treatment critical to saving someone’s life.
This is permanent, full-time position 37.5 hour per week working a rotational schedule, 7:00am to 7:00pm Monday to Friday with weekend rotations.

How YOU will make a difference:
- Ensuring sample identification is correct and specimen requirements are met according to established procedures.
- Performing routine testing duties within Microbiology which includes but not limited to analyzer maintenance, calibration, QC and troubleshooting.
- Ensuring quality control standards are maintained, investigating missing samples and performing routine maintenance on laboratory equipment.
- Recording, interpreting and/or approving test results.
- Identifying and reporting of incidents and non-conformities
- You thrive independently, applying sound decision making principles and ability to self-manage in fast-paced environment
- You bring a high level of interpersonal skills and you are a natural fit within a collaborative working environment
- Carry a CSMLS Registration as a practicing Medical Laboratory Technologist in good standing
- Proficiency with Word, Excel and Outlook at an intermediate level
- Solid ability to troubleshoot technical issues and provide recommendations for resolution
- Nice to have: working experience in the Microbiology field, knowledge and understanding of Diagnostic Accreditation standards.

Salary from: $34.00 hour
