Job title: HRMS Data, Process & Reporting Analyst

JOB SUMMARY

Accountable for executing day-to-day HRMS administration and data management, i.e. processing all transactions, maintaining the highest level of data integrity, timeliness and confidentiality. Providing analytical support to the Total Rewards function to improve processes and services, i.e. extract, analyze and report on human resource data to support the integration of HR analytics into HR related decision making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Input and maintain all defined HR data on Human Resources Management System (HRMS) for interface to Payroll and related HR systems
  • Develop and prepare statistical summaries and special reports from the HRMS which may include information such as employee turnover, headcount, performance data, skills, etc.
  • Review, update and document HR technology workflows, instructions and processes
  • Conduct regular audits of HRMS data to ensure its accuracy and completeness
  • Undertake quality checks of data; liaison with HR and Payroll to maintain data integrity and processing timelines
  • Perform data analysis based on various HR metrics, producing regular and ad-hoc reports as required
  • Extract, analyze and report on human resources data to support business decision making
  • Act as primary HRMS support resource and look for continuous improvement opportunities in both HRMS and related processing
  • Assist, review and support activities related to HR technology
  • Participate in HR/Rewards related project initiatives as required

KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Comprehensive understanding of HR technology and applications related to HR data management
  • Strong knowledge related to the development, compilation and presentation of data and reports
  • Knowledge of other HR programs/principles (e.g., compensations, benefits, etc.) is an asset
  • Experience using Microsoft Dynamics/Great Plains HR module is strongly preferred
  • Post-secondary education in HR systems, business or equivalent
  • 3 to 5 years of related experience in HR technology and related data analytics

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Technical Skills

  • Advanced proficiency  with Microsoft office products, internet and HR systems
  • Strong knowledge and experience working with HRMS systems and HR data
  • Experience with advanced reporting tools (e.g. Crystal Reports, SQL, Access, etc.)
  • Excellent ability to present data in a logical, concise manner
  • Perform analysis or relevant HR metrics and uncover trends in data
  • Very strong analytical and problem solving skills with superior attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to exercise high level of discretion with sensitive and confidential information
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, including balancing multiple responsibilities and effectively meeting deadlines

  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal)
  • Capacity to work independently as well as within a team environment
  • Being adaptable and able to work in a changing environment
