As a Senior Facility Design & Construction Manager, you are responsible for new construction, fit out, expansion and retrofits across the national site portfolio. You will manage a range of projects and controls including cost estimating & management, construction scheduling and vendor selection, risk monitoring and scope of work development and implementation.

How YOU will make a difference:
- Prepare. schedule, coordinate and monitor the assigned new site construction or site improvement projects.
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
- Collaborate with all stakeholders- corporate real estate, team, end user groups, architects, engineers etc. to determine the specifications of the project and be able to communicate requirements to each.
- Interact regularly with the regional and national leadership and with the client user to interpret their requests, needs and requirements.
- Provide input and guidance in development of the scope and budgets.
- Maintain budget updates on a regular basis. Analyze risks and opportunities.
- Monitor project progress and handle any issues. Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs. Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation and minimize project risks.
- Act as the projects main point of contact and communicate project status to all participants.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports
- Ensure approvals as required (design and plan approvals, scope, budget, contracts etc.). Ensure permits and licenses are obtained from appropriate authorities.
- Comply to QA / QC policies, health and safety requirements, branding requirements, and performance standards and specifications.
- Manage procurement processes. Ensure effective management of punch list, warranty and closeout phases of the project.
- Work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to ensure that the scope and direction of each project fits the operational requirements, design specifications, corporate brand standards and other requirements as stated during the project definition stage.
- Facilitate and participate in collaborative problem solving and decision making. To analyze complex problems, provide solutions, develop and analyze the effects of different design and construction alternatives on cost, schedule, and scope.
- Provide leadership in meetings and conversations, but at the same time create a collaborative, cross functional team to execute the project in a coordinated manner.
What YOU bring to the role:
- University Degree or College Diploma (Engineering, Business or related)
- Minimum 5-10 years’ related work experience
- 5-10 year’s Construction project management experience
- Construction Project Management
- Knowledge/Use of AutoCad or related Construction management tools
- Experience in compiling/managing complex Construction Budgets
- Applicable Building Codes and Standards, Fire Codes and Standards, Accessibility Codes and Standards, Health and Safety Codes and Standards, Environmental Codes and Standards, Construction Site Codes and Standards
- Dynacare QA/QC Procedures and Protocols, Dynacare build specifications. Dynacare Branding specifications
- Collaborative problem solving and decision making.
- Effective Leadership and management of internal and external stakeholder teams
Work breakdown:
- Travel Requirement - 20%-30%
- Construction Contract Management – 40%
- Design, Development, Engineering, Review – 30%
- Standards Planning and Development – 10%
- Budget and Estimation - 20%
Working Condition:
- Describe physical and environmental demands
- Mostly office and/or remote (hybrid work)
- Daily/weekly Jobsite tours to inspect locations and construction works, attend construction meetings, landlord meetings, etc.
