This is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the top law firms in the U.S.! Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is looking for a Practice Management Coordinator to join our team in our Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, New York, or Washington D.C. offices. 

We offer a hybrid work engagement with two days of remote work, and three days in-office.

The Practice Management Coordinator is an entry-level position to support the operational efficiency and strategic initiatives of the firm’s Practice Groups by assisting Practice Managers with various administrative, financial, and project-related tasks. 

Practice Management (PM) plays an instrumental role in helping our lawyers operate more effectively and efficiently to drive revenue growth, better utilize time spent on non-billable activities, facilitate the integration of lateral hires, and foster a collaborative environment to leverage all our business professional teams' capabilities to support our lawyers in building their practices and serving clients. The Practice Management Team comprises revenue enablers who ensure operational efficiency; develop, drive, and execute on PG/industry strategic vision; provide financial insights that drive economic improvements; support client value initiatives; and otherwise support each practice's business needs and operations.

On a typical day you will:

  • Support the Practice Management team with the operations of the firm’s Practice Groups, including scheduling meetings, coordinating logistics across multiple offices, materials, invite lists, and follow up
  • Support Practice Management team with submitting and processing invoices and providing assistance with updating budget trackers, under the direction of Practice Managers
  • Assist with special projects and operational support for practice groups, as assigned
  • Gather necessary financial and KPI reports for practice groups, under the direction of Practice Managers
  • Coordinate the management of sponsorships including payment, tracking of opportunities, and attendance at sponsorship events
  • Support the Practice Managers with tasks related to tracking commitments and execution of strategic priorities for practice groups and industry groups, as assigned
  • Support firm processes that affect the practice group, including attorney onboarding, utilization, and other recurring administrative tasks, under the direction of Practice Managers
  • Support the firm's strategic value that "People Matter" by building trust and creditability with partners, counsel, and associates, including, under the guidance of the Practice Manager, developing an in-depth understanding of attorney experience, capabilities, and strengths

Join us if you have:

  • 2+ years of prior administrative experience working in an office setting highly preferred. Experience working in a law firm, other professional services organization, or law school is a plus
  • Bachelor's Degree and demonstrated academic excellence is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated strong attention to detail, ability to take ownership of projects, and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, including the ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships across all firm functions as well as with clients and other business contacts
  • Demonstrated writing ability and excellent grammar, spelling and proofreading skills are required
  • Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm and composed manner
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while also acting as part of a high-functioning team
  • Demonstrated proficiency with MS Office Products required, i.e. SharePoint, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel; CRM technology a plus

Washington State  

The annualized salary range for this position in Washington is $66,000 to $73,000 ($33.85 to $37.44 hourly). Actual pay will be adjusted based on the candidate’s education, training, experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.  Full time employees may be eligible for a bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, telemedicine and virtual short term solution based counseling services, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, subsidized backup care and caregiving resources, 401(k), vacation, sick time, 11 paid holidays each year and an employee assistance program.  For full-time employees, the initial vacation benefit is 15 days per year and 11 days of sick leave per year, accrued bi-weekly. Additional voluntary programs include:  voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary long term care, and pet insurance.  Commuter and Transit programs are also available.

California

The annualized salary range for this position in Los Angeles is $66,000 to $74,000 ($33.85 to $37.94 hourly); and in San Francisco is $75,000 to $84,000 ($38.46 to $43.08 hourly). Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.  Full time employees may be eligible for a bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, telemedicine and virtual short term solution based counseling services, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, subsidized backup care and caregiving resources, 401(k), vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program.  Additional voluntary programs include:  voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary long term care, and pet insurance.  Commuter and Transit programs are also available.

New York

The annualized salary range for this position in New York City is $72,000 to $78,000 ($39.56 to $42.86 hourly). Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.  Full time employees may be eligible for a bonus, health insurance with an optional HSA, short term disability, long term disability, dental insurance, vision care, telemedicine and virtual short term solution based counseling services, life insurance, Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts, subsidized backup care and caregiving resources, 401(k), vacation, sick time, and an employee assistance program.  Additional voluntary programs include:  voluntary accident insurance, voluntary life, voluntary disability, voluntary long term care, and pet insurance.  Commuter and Transit programs are also available.

District of Columbia

The annualized salary range for this position in Washington D.C. is $69,000 to $76,000 ($35.38 to $38.97 hourly). Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
