Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality inspection of mix and mold condition
  • Pour heated mix into slab and sink aluminum molds using overhead hoist
  • Assure molds are free of contaminants
  • Operate Gel Oven for heated mixture insertion

  • Able to work overtime including weekends
  • Required to wear a full face respirator
 

Description

Position Summary:

The Molding Operator is responsible for extracting and pouring heated mix by weight to create cast epoxy-resin product

Primary Responsibilities:

Bucket Support

  • Extract heated mix from mix tank into a pour barrel by weight and add additional components as required
  • Draw pigment and master batch from R&D area

Cat Station

  • Cat Station operations & Master batch dosing
  • Log all required information in the Casting Database
  • Perform quality inspection of mix and mold condition
  • Communicates mix and mold conditions out of standard operating procedure to Task Leader / Supervisor

Pouring

  • Pour heated mix into slab and sink aluminum molds using overhead hoist
  • Extract cast sink parts from aluminum molds (sink department only)
  • Assure molds are free of contaminants
  • Operate Gel Oven for heated mixture insertion
  • Other duties as assigned to meet business needs

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Ability to demonstrate comprehension of positional work instructions
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Capable of becoming forklift certified
  • Able to work overtime including weekends
  • Measure by weight (g/lb.) using scales and basic math
  • Required to wear a full face respirator

Educational/Training/ Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED Required
  • Minimum 3 months’ work experience preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to push/pull up to 500 lbs. using a four wheel cart up to 25 feet
  • Ability to stand, stoop, bend, reach overhead repetitively during an 10 to 12-hour day
  • Able to stand for minimum of 10 hours
  • Lift minimum of 50 lbs. repeatedly in a turning motion
  • Ability to lift 50lbs. up to 48 inches (Sinks Department Only)
