Maintenance Supervisor

Description

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Insure compliance with government and safety regulations and company safe working practices
  • Effectively lead and direct 10+ Maintenance Technicians
  • Monitor, measure and improve predictive and preventative maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime
  • Evaluate and develop core competencies of Maintenance staff
  • Monitor, analyze and report on key performance metrics for department
  • Manage projects utilizing internal and third party resources and reports on status to milestones
  • Plans and directs activities related to design, modification and maintenance of equipment
 
Qualifications/Requirements:
 
  • Senior Maintenance Tech knowledge and experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of maintenance productivity and budget metrics 
  • Strong troubleshooting ability 
  • Proven project management skills and experience 
  • Good organizational skills, analytical ability, written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to relate to all levels of the organization 
  • Ability to balance use of internal and 3rd party resources to accomplish objectives 
  • Computer skills including experience with Microsoft Office and other enterprise software for purchasing and Computerized Maintenance Management System 
  • Previous experience with heavy industrial plant maintenance including hydraulics, pumps, electrical and PLC’s strongly preferred 
 
Educational/Training/ Experience:
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Maintenance knowledge and related experience
 
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds on a repetitive basis
  • Ability to perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling materials.
  • Ability to participate in respiratory management program
