ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Achieve monthly sales targets by following up with customers on quotes of $15,000 and above.
  • Identify and qualify leads through cold calling, emails, and creative lead-generation activities.
  • Foster strong client relationships and support existing customers to expand our business.
  • Keep track of bid follow-up and purchase order activities and provide weekly reports.
  • Identify potential customer pricing discrepancies and report them to the Director of Sales & Marketing.
  • Document market and competitive information obtained from customer communications.
  • Inform the Director of Sales & Marketing and Outside Sales Representatives about new bid/job leads.
  • Use Dodge Reports and other tools to gather market forecasts and other relevant information.
  • Schedule weekly meetings with the outside sales team to discuss customer account base and enhance bid follow up responses.
  • Monthly order management follow up calls with customers to review backlog ship date requirements
  • Collaborate with IT to develop automated systems for tracking bid follow-up activities.
  • Participate in ongoing training to enhance product knowledge.
  • Work with marketing to create product presentations for customer education.
  • Establish additional contacts at customer organizations.
  • Manage available promotional campaigns to ensure visibility of resources.
  • Maintain and update the CRM software, Salesforce.com.
  • Maximize the use of Microsoft Teams for communications.
  • Use the Customer Relationship Management software such as Salesforce to ensure key customers are informed about projects and that we have the opportunity to bid on them.

Provide support for our team at tradeshows or customer events when needed

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to effectively communicate technical and other information to a diverse audience, ranging from executives to installers.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in relationship building, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Capability to work independently and read and interpret blueprints and architectural drawings.
  • Previous experience in a related sales position is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software such as Salesforce.com.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as strong phone and cold calling skills.
  • Exceptional customer service and sales skills, including the ability to achieve targets and a track record of over-achieving quota.
  • Proficiency with corporate productivity and web presentation tools.

Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

EDUCATION:

Bachelor Degree Required

Concentration in Business Administration or closely related field
 
EXPERIENCE:
2+ years
B2B experience
 
WORKING CONDITIONS: 
 
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
  Sitting in the same location of standing/walking; required to stoop, climb or lift light material (10-20lbs) or equipment.
ENVIRONMENT:
  Located in an indoor area with frequent exposure to mild physical discomfort from dust, fumes, temperature extremes, loud noises and bright lights. Examples: mail clerks, material handlers and food service workers
