Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs assigned routine tests on materials, goods in process or finished goods where results are compared with company and customer quality standards. Quality Engineer or Supervisor that will make an analysis and take necessary action.
  • Performs inspections for suppliers when required to keep production flowing.
  • Determines disposition of nonconforming material for the supplier, customer and internal rejects.
  • Use proper gauges and equipment to perform evaluation of product.
  • Performs daily line audits, and product audits as assigned.
  • Records results of audits on the required reports and provides feedback to the Line Supervisor, Quality Engineer, or Quality Supervisor.
  • Disposition of scrap material and records information into computer daily.
  • Issues supplier material rejection report and notifies supplier via phone/ fax/ email of initial issue.
  • Complete all required forms for supplier returns, scrap and expedite shipments.
  • Must coordinate, track and communicate results of engineering trials.
  • Must be willing to abide by the company handbook in regards to following safety rules.
  • Assist the plant in achieving safety goals and achieving and maintaining DURA objectives
  • Participate in communications events such as plant wide meetings, line meetings, department meetings, and training exercises.
