About the Role:
As an Underground Electrician at Dumas, you will install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical systems and equipment in an underground mining environment. This includes working on power distribution, mine services, and mobile equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install and maintain underground electrical systems, including power distribution and mine services.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical components on mobile and stationary equipment.
- Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to minimize downtime.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Ensure compliance with Dumas and site-specific safety protocols and environmental regulations.
- Participate in workplace inspections and hazard assessments.
Qualifications:
- Valid Red Seal/Journeyman Electrical License in Construction & Maintenance or Industrial is required.
- Basic Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core is an asset.
- Experience with underground electrical systems and mining equipment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical codes and safety standards.
- Ability to work in physically demanding and confined environments.
- Excellent safety record and commitment to safe work practices.
