About the Role:
Under the direction of the Fleet Superintendent, the Mobile Maintenance Planner is responsible to accurately document maintenance activities of our Equipment Fleet in our CMMS System. The Mobile Maintenance Planner will assist the client to prepare long term and short term at site.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate maintenance activities between Maintenance Supervisors and Planners.
- Prepare and revise detailed work plans, including step‑by‑step instructions, safety considerations, special tools, parts lists, and lubrication requirements.
- Review and update Preventive Maintenance (PM) tasks as needed.
- Create work orders for planned jobs and PMs for all Canadian sites.
- Track parts for planned jobs in collaboration with the purchasing department.
- Assist in preparing annual budgets and monthly cost/progress reports.
- Optimize repair schedules and ensure adherence to maintenance programs and regulatory standards.
- Integrate special safety considerations into maintenance plans (e.g., confined space, lockout, non‑routine tasks).
- Maintain positive working relationships with external regulatory agencies.
- Support short‑ and long‑term planning with the Planner.
- Develop major component replacement schedules and forecasting for budgeting.
- Perform critical parts reviews and maintain accurate equipment information.
Qualifications:
- Maintenance Technician/Technologist, certified tradesperson, or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of mining equipment maintenance planning (underground or open pit).
- 10 years’ mechanical/electrical experience is an asset.
- Proficient with Excel, Word, Access, MS Project, and maintenance planning software.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience in predictive maintenance (oil analysis, vibration analysis, NDT).
- Costing, budgeting, and project management skills an asset.
Schedule: Monday – Friday with 10-hour shifts.
