Position: Heavy Duty Shop Mechanic
Site: Timmins Maintenance Facility (must be local to the Timmins area)
Rotation: 4/3 -Day Shift only (no weekends)
Shift: 11HRs
Wage: $55.00 - $60.00/HR
Potential Renumeration: KPI Bonus – Referral Bonus

About the Role:
 
As a Heavy Duty Shop Mechanic at Dumas, you will play a critical role in maintaining and repairing the fleet of heavy mining equipment that keeps our operations running safely and efficiently. You will work in a fast-paced setting, ensuring equipment reliability and minimizing downtime to support our various project sites, to meet our production goals while working safely and efficiently.
 
Key Responsibilities:
 
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mining equipment, including jumbos, MacLean bolters, scoops, utility vehicles, and drills.
  • Prepare new and overhaul existing fleet equipment.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal equipment performance and minimize downtime.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and parts used.
  • Ensure compliance with Dumas and site-specific safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Participate in workplace inspections and hazard assessments.
 
Qualifications:
 
  • Valid Red Seal/Journeyman License in a Mechanic trade along with 3+ years of heavy-duty mechanic experience
  • Valid Ontario Underground Hard Rock Miner Common Core certification considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of drilling and blasting techniques.
  • Ability to work in physically demanding environment.
  • Excellent safety record and commitment to safe work practices.
