Salary: $50,000 - $58,000 Annually (Paid Twice Per Month)
Employment Terms: Permanent Full-Time

About The Roll

Under the direction of the Manager of Procurement, the Warehouse Clerk is primarily responsible for the day-to-day functions within the warehouse and participates in inventory control activities. This role requires a strong working relationship with the sites, and interactions with both contractors and suppliers.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Demonstrate the core values, vision and Code of Conduct of Dumas Mining.
  • Receive, store and issue mine and mill material and supplies.
  • Responsible for entering all receiving information into Sage ERP system to maintain inventory levels.
  • Participate in inventory control, including inventory counting (annual and cyclical).
  • Provides input to surplus or obsolete materials.
  • Required to pick internal orders and prepares them for onsite movement.
  • Operate forklift and other equipment.
  • Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures to prevent workplace accidents and injuries.
  • Comply with applicable legislation in relation to the storage of hazardous materials and W.H.I.M.I.S.
  • Responsible for the day-to-day activities of the warehouse.
  • Create, organize, maintain, and update a full inventory of all contents of the warehouse on spreadsheets.
  • Maintain records of all incoming and outgoing boxes and files, consistently updating warehouse inventory with each transaction.
  • Responsible for the cleaning, upkeep, and everyday maintenance of the warehouse facility to meet safety requirements.
  • Organize and maintain the warehouse and storage room to avoid hazards.
  • Help to ensure that the material received is ordered, inspected for damage and meets the specifications of the contract.
  • May be required to expedite orders, respond to requests for priority orders and the tracking of shipments.
  • Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

 COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Possess a good knowledge of mine, equipment and maintenance parts.
  • Familiarity with warehouse inventory procedures.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel spreadsheets and data entry.
  • Excellent customer service skills and attitude.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Possess excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office, Sage and Guide TI.
  • Several years of warehouse experience.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
