We're looking for a Territory Manager to drive growth across a defined portfolio of oil and gas clients in Western Canada. This individual will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, expanding existing relationships, and serving as a trusted partner to operators across the region. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the upstream energy industry, excels at building executive relationships, and is energized by creating opportunities through strategic networking and territory development.

 

Performance Objectives

  • Achieve annual revenue targets through a combination of new client acquisition, account expansion, and client retention.
  • Develop and execute territory plans that identify growth opportunities within the Western Canadian oil and gas market.
  • Partner with Technical Advisors and subject matter experts to deliver compelling client presentations and solution recommendations.
  • Collaborate with Customer Success team members to maximize client value and identify expansion opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across client organizations and industry networks.
  • Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and provide reliable monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer by sharing market intelligence and client feedback with product, marketing, and leadership teams.
  • Represent Enverus at industry events, conferences, and networking functions throughout the Calgary energy community.

 

 

Competitive Candidate Profile

  • Must reside in the Calgary area and be actively engaged in the local energy industry.
  • 2+ years of sales experience within the oil and gas industry, preferably selling data, technology, software, analytics, consulting, or related solutions to energy companies.
  • Proven ability to develop new business opportunities while growing and retaining existing client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of upstream oil and gas operations and the business challenges faced by operator clients.
  • Experience managing contract renewals, commercial negotiations, and multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
  • Demonstrated success building relationships through networking, industry involvement, and proactive territory development.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and consultative selling skills.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a strong sense of accountability and urgency.
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively across sales, customer success, product, and technical teams.
  • Experience managing opportunities through a structured sales process with consistent forecast accuracy.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously and prioritize activities in a fast-paced environment.

This role is eligible for: Commission
