We are currently seeking a highly driven Cybersecurity Engineer to join our information technology team working remotely from a location in the United States. This role offers the opportunity to join a rapidly growing company delivering industry-leading solutions to customers in the world’s most dynamic and fastest-growing sector.  This person will be working US working hours (start around 1pm CET). 

   

Performance Objectives  

  • Design, implement, and fine-tune security measures that shield us from both internal and external threats across various platforms like email systems, data repositories, e-commerce platforms, and web applications.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Actively contribute to risk determination processes, analyzing reliability issues that influence long-term security strategy.
  • Execute through network security audits, evaluating system configurations against company policies and best practices.
  • Lead and perform penetration tests and vulnerability scans to validate the resilience of applications, operating systems, and network configurations.
  • Act as the first responder during cybersecurity incidents to identify sources of breaches and implement immediate countermeasures.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses of cybersecurity incidents to inform future prevention strategies.
  • Assist in developing and rolling out tailored security solutions to bolster our security infrastructure.
  • Clearly articulate the potential and actual impacts of security incidents to assist management in informed decision-making.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive security awareness program, cultivating a culture of vigilance against threats within the organization.
  • Take the helm in spearheading security awareness training initiatives, ensuring that employees across various departments are educated and updated on the latest cybersecurity protocols and best practices.
  • Evaluate security metrics, incident logs, and other data to develop real-time alert systems for emerging threats.

Competitive Candidate Profile  

  • Advanced skills in designing and implementing multi-layered security infrastructures.
  • Proven experience in architecting and implementing security solutions.
  • Hands-on expertise in performing risk assessments and security audits.
  • Proficiency in conducting penetration tests and vulnerability scans.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or GDPR.
  • A strong background in programming or scripting languages such as Powershell, Python, Ruby, or Shell for automating security tasks.
  • Experience in developing and delivering security awareness programs.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science preferred
