As a Cloud FinOps Analyst, you will help track cloud costs and identify high impact cost-savings opportunities for Enverus, while creating models to quantify the expected impact of these opportunities. You will collaborate with Engineering and other internal teams to define, plan, and execute these initiatives. Additionally, you’ll have chances to work on cost visibility, forecasting, and reservation management – all with a heavy emphasis on optimization and efficiency.     
     
What will you do:  

  • Continuously monitor and optimize Enverus’ cloud service consumption, generate reporting on a periodic basis for spend and budget visibility   

  • Analyze and monitor trends in usage, validate and track efforts related to cost efficiency, identify opportunities for savings.   

  • Support Enverus teams using cloud services to understand issues in spend and opportunities for savings, share best practices around consumption of cloud services, evaluate cost effectiveness of new initiatives   

  • Work closely with Procurement, IT, Engineering, and Finance on budgeting and forecasting,   

  • Maintain relationships with the cloud service providers to gain support and insights for cost optimization efforts at Enverus   

  • Monitor and report on the burndown of commit-to-consume programs with cloud service providers   

  • Ensure strict enforcement of tagging policies, help drive documentation efforts   

  • Plan, forecast, manage, and track the inventory of cloud service reservations across all of Enverus    

     
What you should have:      
  • 1+ year of experience   

  • Demonstrated experience using quantitative analysis to generate insights and drive informed organizational decision making in cloud infrastructure   

  • Familiarity with native cloud cost tools (AWS Cost Explorer and Azure Cost Management)   

  • Effective communication skills, ability to convey data findings and recommendations to stakeholders verbally and visually   

  • Adaptability in collaborating with Engineering, IT, Procurement, and Finance   

  • In-depth knowledge of major cloud providers’ product offerings, particularly AWS and Azure   

  • Comfortable working as part of a global team, ability to thrive in a remote organization
