We are currently seeking a highly driven, GIS Specialist to join our GIS team in Calgary. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a rapidly growing company delivering industry-leading solutions to customers in the world’s most dynamic and fastest-growing sector. This position reports to the Director, GIS.
Build and maintain energy-related geospatial projects leveraging automation and AI-enhanced workflows.
Produce publication-quality maps and interactive geospatial visualizations that communicate complex spatial insights.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, financial analysts, engineers, developers, and others.
Maintain a high level of data integrity, governance, and project standardization across GIS datasets and workflows.
Gather, QC, and manage technical and geospatial data.
Analyze, interpret, and organize complex spatial data to generate actionable insights.
Digitize, georeference, and structure spatial data to support scalable analytics.
Post-secondary education in GIS, geography, geology, geoscience, engineering technology, or a related field.
5+ years of progressive GIS experience.
Advanced skills in ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.
Strong experience in spatial data management, digitization, and georeferencing.
Working knowledge of Python (ArcPy and open-source libraries); automation experience preferred.
Experience in oil & gas or energy transition sectors is an asset.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills with high attention to detail.
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
