We are currently seeking a highly drivenGIS Specialist to join our GIS team in Calgary. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to a rapidly growing company delivering industry-leading solutions to customers in the world’s most dynamic and fastest-growing sector. This position reports to the Director, GIS. 
  
Performance Objectives 
 
  • Build and maintain energy-related geospatial projects leveraging automation and AI-enhanced workflows.

  • Produce publication-quality maps and interactive geospatial visualizations that communicate complex spatial insights. 

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of data scientists, financial analysts, engineers, developers, and others. 

  • Maintain a high level of data integrity, governance, and project standardization across GIS datasets and workflows.

  • Gather, QC, and manage technical and geospatial data. 

  • Analyze, interpret, and organize complex spatial data to generate actionable insights. 

  • Digitize, georeference, and structure spatial data to support scalable analytics. 

 
Competitive Candidate Profile 
 
  • Post-secondary education in GIS, geography, geology, geoscience, engineering technology, or a related field. 

  • 5+ years of progressive GIS experience. 

  • Advanced skills in ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online.

  • Strong experience in spatial data management, digitization, and georeferencing. 

  • Working knowledge of Python (ArcPy and open-source libraries); automation experience preferred.

  • Experience in oil & gas or energy transition sectors is an asset. 

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication skills with high attention to detail. 

  • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic.
