What you will do: This position is responsible for actively delivering significant, actionable analyses and recommendations to internal customers. In this role you will influence business partners to drive decisions that will improve performance and help the business meet or exceed its objectives.

This position will effectively collaborate and communicate across multiple functions throughout the organization to promote alignment and drive results. Plan, prioritize, and lead your workload in an environment of multiple priorities to support and influence timely and sound business decisions. The role provides opportunities to lead projects and think strategically while dealing with business complexity.

At this level the analyst will be a self-starter that takes ownership of the processes and outputs, challenging others to think about what’s right for the business.  The analyst exercises good judgment, stays focused on results, and ensures the integrity of financial reporting in a fast-paced environment. 

This is a temporary to hire role.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform Period End Close activities as required
• Prepare and explain monthly financial forecasts and actual results
• Develop, maintain, and own key financial models
• Collaborate with key stakeholders and broader finance team to drive business results and meet deliverables
• Understand key variance drivers and project impacts on financial forecasts to identify risks and opportunities
• Provide clear and concise financial analysis to facilitate and influence sound business decisions
• Provide Ad hoc analysis, project support, and other duties as assigned

BASIC / ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

• BA/BS in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Math, or other related major.
• Minimum of 2-3 years experience in Accounting/Finance
• Strong analytical skills and business acumen
• Demonstrate standard methodologies and strong business insight
• Proficient in use of Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Good project management skills
• Communicate effectively and expertly in written and verbal form, including presentation skills
• Ability to resolve conflicts / discrepancies positively and expertly
• Work independently in solving business issues and taking initiative

The pay scale for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The pay scale for employees currently in this role are between $70,000 and $90,000 per year.
