Job Description

Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream is seeking an Accounts Receivable Clerk to manage cash application of customers payments, reconciling the lockbox collection with cash posting. In this role, you will facilitate an ongoing relationship with our customers and internal departments and AR Analysts to ensure timely collection of invoices and resolution of disputes, as well as perform cash application in JD Edward ERP system, using your attention to detail and excellent customer service skills. The role is based in Fort Wayne, IN.

What You’ll Do:

Receiving and recording of customers payments received from multiple lockboxes, EFTs, wire transfers, credit cards, etc.

Identifying customers remittance and posting payments to the correct account by invoice.

Creating short payments and deductions on customer's accounts as directed by customers remittance advice.

Reconciling cash postings to cash receipts on daily basis.

Research all unapplied cash on account meeting set metrics.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • 2-3 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of formal education/training and experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • JDE experience is a plus
  • Understanding of billing, credit card processing, returns, refunds, cash application, deduction management, credit and collections in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizations skills.
  • Experience with lockbox and check management systems.
  • Proficient working with multiple software systems and reporting tools, including but not limited to Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Advanced Excel skills are required, including v-look-up and pivot tables.
  • Ability to meet structured deadlines.
  • Ability to contribute to the development of process and procedure.
