POSITION SUMMARY:

The Finance Support Analyst (Trade) assists the Sales organization to help with account support in the areas of trade program setup and maintenance, deduction validation and clearing, AP check payments, and forecasting.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process deductions in order to meet the quarterly goals based upon data provided by Sales Finance
  • Complete accurate and timely trade program setup and reconciliation in conjunction with the promotional trade rate goals
  • Issue Accounts Payable checks, as needed
  • Match and validate Proof of Performance through contracts
  • Conduct and attend monthly reviews of forecast and promotional plan
  • Attend periodical trade review meetings to review deduction management, trade spend, and plan revisions with the Account Manager and/or Sales Finance
  • Review and analyze trade reports
  • Manage and analyze new item, special pack, seasonal, and everyday forecasts
  • Analyze sales pricing and distributor deductions to determine areas where program improvements could be initiated
  • Provide templates to Account Managers and/or Sales Finance for any input needs
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to exchange information and update controls
  • Make recommendations for updating pricing and programs as needed
  • All other duties, as assigned

FINANCIAL/STRATEGIC IMPACT:

  • Management of trade budgets
  • Management of overall trade deduction balances
  • Trade program setup and maintenance

REQUIREMENTS, MINIMUM EDUCATION LEVEL, AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma/GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with a strong emphasis in intermediate Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP)
  • 1-2 years of sales experience, sales support, or customer service preferred
