Main Role/Function of job.

Effective and consistent monitoring of personnel in and out of the facility and premises. Always maintain the highest levels of professionalism, safety, and confidentially. This will be achieved by observing, reporting, and communicating relevant information to appropriate personnel. Will also be achieved by proactively responding to issues or emergency situations.  

Role and Activity

  • To ensure our facility is secure. Respectfully and efficiently greet visitors and vendors upon their entrance to our facility.  
  • Enforce access control policy including employees, visitors, and contractors and logged in/out appropriately on logs.  
  • Monitor/respond to emergency alarm systems and follow procedures.
  • Monitor systems including but not limited to: CCTV and telephone systems and enforce procedures.
  • Complete weigh master duties.
  • Diary reconciliation duties.
  • Truck inspections as needed.
  • Inventory Management including basic office supply purchasing.
  • Data entry for administrative support.
  • Enforce Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all time.
  • To communicate effectively with the team in a direct and effective manner. Ensure a productive turnover with off going gate attendants to include highlights of prior situations or events that may have occurred and may be of relevance.
  • Ensure you walk the talk and use the looking eyes, attend to the issues as and when they happen.
  • Promote the Froneri culture of employees being owners rather than just employees.
  • Other duties as required.

  • Proven experience as security officer or guard
  • Knowledge of legal guidelines for area security and public safety
  • Excellent surveillance and observation skills
  • Tech-savvy with experience in surveillance systems
  • High School diploma is required.
  • Ability to stay levelheaded and respond quickly in stressful situations.
   The pay scale for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The pay scale disclosed below has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The pay scale for employees currently in this role is between $16.00 and $20.00 per hour.
