Job Description

Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream is seeking an Accounts Receivable Analyst to manage a portfolio of customer accounts to collect on amounts due and expedite dispute resolution. In this role, you will facilitate an ongoing relationship with our customers and internal departments to ensure timely collection of invoices and resolution of disputes, as well as perform cash application in JD Edward ERP system, using your attention to detail and excellent customer service skills. The role is based in Fort Wayne, IN.

What You’ll Do:

  • Contact customers via phone or email regarding payment of balances owed to DGIC.
  • Work with both inside and outside sales and trade teams to expedite dispute resolution.
  • Review aging data to determine accounts needing follow-up collection activity.
  • Take appropriate action on Customer Orders on Hold.
  • Identify questionable accounts to recommend review of credit worthiness.
  • Reconcile accounts to resolve customer deductions or payments on account.
  • Process Cash Applications and Billing Adjustments as needed.
  • Perform credit review through Dun & Bradstreet for new and existing customer accounts to identify credit limits and customer payment terms.
  • Additional responsibilities as required by management.


What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
  • 3-5 years of related experience, or equivalent combination of formal education/training and experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • JDE experience is a plus
  • Understanding of billing, credit card processing, returns, refunds, cash application, deduction management, credit and collections in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and organizations skills.
  • Experience with lockbox and check management systems.
  • Proficient working with multiple software systems and reporting tools, including but not limited to Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Advanced Excel skills are required, including v-look-up and pivot tables.
  • Ability to meet structured deadlines.
  • Ability to contribute to the development of process and procedure.
