Position Summary:

Do you want to drive brand growth and help shape the digital foundation for beloved ice cream brands?  If so, we are hiring an Associate Brand Manager at Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream (DGIC). This individual is part of the Marketing team and plays a large role driving business impact through both brand and digital initiatives. This role is perfect for someone who is looking for a unique combination of traditional brand management responsibilities but also has a passion for digital strategy.

 

Brand Management: The Associate Brand Manager will support our brand activities by collaborating with sales, shopper marketing, operations, product development and finance on various generating demand activities.  The candidate will demonstrate proactive leadership and ownership end-to-end with a business owner mindset across every aspect of the job; exhibiting a generalist/strategic mindset in every project and interaction.

 

Digital Strategy: This position will also identify, articulate and execute strategy and best practices across the digital landscape. In this role, the Associate will collaborate across multiple internal teams and external partners at all levels (junior to senior) to drive the performance, equity, and share of our brands and build engaging brand experiences. This role ensures knowledge transfer for both specific brands and our portfolio of brands. This individual will possess successful digital marketing communications (paid, owned, shared, and earned) experience, can synthesize complicated information into simple explanations, and has proven success in collaborating across multi-functional teams to drive forward-progress. Most importantly, this person has a proven record of thriving in ambiguity, can work with agility, and can drive results by securing buy-in from multiple stakeholders.   

 

Job Roles 

  • Relentlessly examine brand performance and optimize - understand weekly/monthly sales & IRI data, derive implications  
  • Build & execute against annual brand plans to achieve sales and market share goals 
  • Lead and support all NPD projects from end to end, weighing and prioritizing quality, voice of consumer and business impact appropriately 
  • Partner with brand manager in the development and execution of communication plans across all brand communications channels 
  • Lead portfolio search efforts (both paid and organic) to prioritize and maximize return across all brands 
  • Lead relationships with third-party digital partners, including ratings and reviews, website testing, and analytics 
  • Develop and implement testing strategies to improve KPIs across the digital ecosystem, including website, performance marketing, search, and more 
  • Proactively identify brand and portfolio needs for a wide range of stakeholders, from junior to senior and executive level teams 

Qualifications 

  • Min. 3+ years of brand marketing with strategy, communications, and digital experience, preferably in the CPG industry 
  • Highly analytic with experience in measurement and analytics with proven ability to turn data into actionable insights
  • Strong drive for results including: strong leadership, decision-making and analytical skills, effective communication skills, ability to think strategically, self-motivation, and a passion for the consumer 
  • Experience partnering with and leading cross-functional teams and agency partners 
  • Ability to influence and lead others, including those outside of the Marketing function 
  • Strong sense of urgency, even when managing initiatives with long lead times 
  • Adaptability and flexibility to meet changing priorities and adjust to different management styles 
  • Strong understanding of digital landscape including platforms, technology, and opinions on their applications (Experience with Adobe Experience Manager a plus) 
  • MBA preferred but not required
