Position Summary

Do you want to build high-quality consumer experiences that drive business impact? Do you want to help shape the digital foundation for beloved ice cream brands?

If so, we are hiring a Digital Strategist at Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream (DGIC). This individual sits in the Marketing team and plays a large role driving business impact through implementation of digital initiatives. The Digital Strategist will be largely visible across brand marketing and corporate communications; identifying, articulating and executing current best practices including marketing technology initiatives, agency management, paid media, and analytics.

In this role, the Digital Strategist collaborates across multiple internal teams and external partners at all levels (junior to senior), and ensures knowledge transfer for both specific brands and our portfolio of brands. This individual will possess successful digital marketing technology and communications (paid, owned, shared, and earned) experience, can synthesize complicated information into simple explanations, and has proven success in collaborating across multi-functional teams to drive forward-progress. Most importantly, this person has a proven record of thriving in ambiguity, can work with agility, and can drive results by securing buy-in from multiple stakeholders.

Job Roles

  • Be the primary day-to-day digital contact for brand teams and their planning agencies, including website, search, technology partners, and paid media
  • Lead relationships with third-party digital partners, including ratings and reviews, website testing, and analytics; identify and execute campaigns based on category and brand opportunities
  • Develop and implement testing strategies to improve KPIs across the digital ecosystem, including website, performance marketing, search, and more
  • Ensure development of comprehensive, efficient, and impactful campaigns leveraging most effective digital touchpoints, to achieve brand business objectives. Strategies and plans are developed with intimate understanding of brand, target consumer(s) and their digital interaction across the greater digital landscape. Identify and provide resources and capabilities that enhance brands' digital effectiveness.
  • Proactively identify brand and portfolio needs for a wide range of stakeholders, from junior to senior and executive level teams
  • Help lead our technology roadmaps through discovery and execution across website, data, and innovation
  • Play point on automation, tagging, and data integrity issues with internal and external partners as needed
  • Lead internal paid media strategy and campaign execution for internal Human Resources and Corporate Communications initiatives
  • Own DGIC’s company corporate website strategy, and execution with support of agency partners


  • 4+ years of marketing, with strategy, communications, and digital experience, preferably in the CPG industry
  • Ability to direct clear conceptual direction and to motivate cross-functional teams
  • Understanding of digital platforms, technology, and opinions on their applications
  • Experience in measurement and analytics
  • Strong presentation skills and attention to detail
